Position Overview

The Analytics Manager will lead the development and implementation of advanced data-driven strategies that enhance the financial decision-making processes within the organization. This role is pivotal in transforming raw financial data into actionable insights, driving business growth, and ensuring efficient resource allocation. The Analytics Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, especially Sales and Operations, to optimize financial performance and guide strategic initiatives through data-driven analyses. The Analytics Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Finance Planning & Analysis.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Champion the evolution of reporting, analytics, and visualization tools to facilitate strategic decision making.

• Leverage SQL, MS Excel, and VBA expertise to construct complex financial models and perform in-depth data analyses.

• Extract, interpret, and synthesize data from central databases using advanced SQL queries.

• Lead the development, automation, and maintenance of critical financial reports and dashboards, utilizing analytics to drive meaningful actions.

• Collaborate with Sales and Operations leaders to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies, ensure alignment with financial goals, and craft innovative business approaches.

• Generate both standardized and ad-hoc reports, providing insightful analyses to support informed financial and operational decisions.

• Address data inquiries from diverse business units, offering comprehensive and analytics-driven responses.

• Direct the creation of comprehensive reports and analyses to facilitate weekly and monthly forecasting, as well as quarterly budgeting.

• Provide keen insights into variances between actual and projected results across the sales organization, enabling strategic adjustments.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of related work experience.

• Strong knowledge of Excel, R and SQL; familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).

• Effective quant and analytical abilities, strong bias towards data and insights driven decision making.

• Exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure.

• Proficiency in SQL, including the capability to handle intricate data queries and manipulation, would be an asset.

• Ensure data quality and integrity through effective data governance processes.

• Proven track record of translating complex data into meaningful insights to drive business decisions.

• Exceptional project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives concurrently.

• Impeccable organizational acumen, attention to detail, and adeptness at multitasking.

• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities paired with outstanding analytical skills.

Work Environment

Office

Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
