Key Job Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Development
Responsible for the development and execution of sales strategy that will allow PSAV to significantly increase market share within its aligned Venues. Work closely with the PSAV corporate leadership to leverage opportunities that currently exist and develop proactive sales initiatives to guide the Field Sales team to earn new business opportunities while holding the team accountable to revenue and profitability goals.
Provide organizational leadership and guidance through strategic recommendations to RVP and SVP of Operations. Ensure execution of all company initiatives. Work with sales leaders across PSAV teams to leverage all customers for future business. Utilize appropriate technologies to communicate promptly and coordinate activities throughout the country. Lead by example providing outstanding leadership and customer relationship management.
Collaborate with Regional Sales Directors and Operations leaders to assess, develop, motivate and mentor sales staff. Work with the training team to help execute sales training efforts to ensure consistency and relevance. Set realistic quotas and hold individuals accountable for their achievement. Conduct sales planning and forecasting activity; manage sales processes and administration utilizing CRM and other tools. Manage all sales training efforts to ensure consistency and relevance. Work with salespeople to prepare and present clear, compelling and persuasive sales presentations including proposal and RVP responses. Ensure team members effectively present and demonstrate PSAV’s value proposition and core capabilities to our customers.
Provide support to key PSAV customer relationships. Provide guidance in evaluating customer proposals and developing specific approaches and sales tactics for various customer types. Coordinate the sales approach and resources within the market and across servicing divisions to maximize PSAV’s capture rate, city wide events, and referral opportunities.
Accountable for all sales related business processes. Ensure sales consistency in discount management, labor billing, proposal preparation, lead import, new product and service offering and event profitability. Achieve revenue targets for individual venues and overall territory.
10+ years of sales management/leadership experience, preferably in leading a geographically dispersed sales team.
BA/BS degree; sales/marketing/business preferred.
Proven ability to work effectively with executive level customers with track record of growing revenue. Preferably within the hospitality industry.
In-depth knowledge of meetings and events industry.
Strong sales planning, forecasting, and sales cycle management experience.
Strong developer of people and cultivator of teamwork and team member engagement.
Strong influencing skills with the courage to confidently express an independent point of view.
Ability to keep pace in a fast moving and dynamic business environment.
An excellent listener and communicator with an approachable style and good sense of humor.
Have excellent judgment in people, selection, and leadership.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
This position’s location is flexible- Seattle, SF, Los Angeles, Orange County or San Diego.
Ability to travel 50%.
